Our Program

Program Overview

Chemistry-Biology Interface Program is an interdiscpilinary program supported by UCLA Graduate Division, UCLA Medical School, the Division of UCLA Physical Sciences, and the Division of UCLA Life Sciences.

This program is available to all Ph.D. program student in all of the above areas who has completed in their first year of Ph.D. Program.

Typically, our students comes from such diverse majors as Chemistry and Biochemistry, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics, Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology, Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, Bioengineering, Public Health and Physiology.

Our program exposes students to a more diverse, rich arrays of inter-related subjects within the Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Medical, and Biological Sciences.



Weekly seminar exposes trainees to diverse topics and encourages scientific intercourse

Eligibility

Graduate students in chemistry, life sciences or medical school who have chosen a CBI training faculty member as his/her mentor may apply at the end of their first year of graduate studies for support during years 2-4.
