CBI Trainees are required to complete a rigorous program of training and mentoring. For Chem 203b contact Dr. Alexander Spokoyny, and for Chem 250 contact Dr. Steven Clarke. 

Some internship opportunities are currently posted on the Chemistry & Biochemistry website. Dr. Harran will send out career opportunities year-round, and CBI trainees are encouraged to ask our staff and mentors for guidance in finding an internship or summer research opportunities.

Year 1:

All Quarters - Chem 206

Fall - CBI Day (attend and present); MBI retreat (attend and present); Chem203b; Complete competency survey; complete biannual progress report

Winter - Chem 250 (sub for 203b)

Spring - Chem205a; Mentor meeting; complete biannual progress report; MyIDP due

Year 2:

All Quarters - Chem 206

Fall - CBI Day (attend and present); MBI retreat (attend and present); complete biannual progress report

Winter/spring - begin internship search w/ mentor

Spring - Chem263 (recommended); Mentor meeting; complete biannual progress report; MyIDP due

Summer - Complete internship requirement

Year 3:

All Quarters - Chem 206

Fall - CBI Day (attend and present); MBI retreat (attend and present); complete biannual progress report
